The Closet Organizer's Personality

I've come to the conclusion that there is a certain personality required to be a successful closet organizer.

A friend is one such person. She can march into her own closet and within minutes sort the wheat from the chaff, have the rejects on their way to a worthy cause, and all the keepables back in neat, sorted order and amazing utility.

Me? I'd still be there - agonizing over whether something really should go in this pile or that, pondering the 'what ifs' and the memories attached to each and every item.

And I think a lot of us are like that. Just too many attachments to inanimate - but personal - objects.

My friend briefly tried hiring out her expertise as a closet organizer - after all, it's so much easier to trash someone else's junk because you don't have the emotional attachment. But demand got so heavy she never had time to herself. Or so she said.

But then - maybe she's just wired the other way around - she got attached to other people's junk and couldn't bear to see it go! Not sure - just a theory!
